"I work at The Ability Center of Greater Toledo which is a nonprofit that provides services and programs for people with disabilities in Toledo, OH. I train mobility service dogs and therapy dogs in their assistance dog program called ACAD (Ability Center Assistance Dogs).
My main responsibilities are to train our final training dogs and help out in the prison. Right now, the prison isn’t open to dogs so I’m helping out everyone else and learning all the ins and outs of our program and curriculum!
My education at Bergin has helped me come in feeling confident to train the dogs to the high standards of my organization and provide thoughtful insight to better our program. I feel that I am respected even though I am new, because of my Bergin education."
